1. Overview
REB00T is designed to support habit recovery with private tracking, reminders, educational content, and intervention tools. By default, your recovery data is stored on your device.
If you enable optional iCloud sync inside the app, Apple may sync certain app data across devices connected to your iCloud account.
2. Information The App Stores
The app may store the following information so it can function correctly:
- Onboarding answers and personalization inputs
- Sobriety date, streak history, and milestone progress
- Urge logs, check-ins, and protocol usage history
- Firewall and blocker-related setup state
- Notification preferences and reminder scheduling data
- Subscription entitlement status needed to unlock premium access
- If you use Community or Live Chat: your anonymous alias, message/post content, streak badge, and Firebase anonymous user ID
3. Subscription And Payment Data
Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. REB00T does not directly collect or store your full payment card information.
REB00T uses RevenueCat to help validate purchases, restore access, and determine whether premium entitlement is active on your device.
4. How Information Is Used
Your information is used to:
- Save recovery progress and personalize the in-app experience
- Schedule reminders and notification-based support when you enable them
- Unlock and restore premium access
- Support optional iCloud sync and data export/delete controls
- Display Community posts and Live Chat messages to other users who join those features
5. What Stays Private
Recovery journal content, urge logs, check-ins, and local progress data are intended to remain on your device unless you choose to sync through Apple services such as iCloud. If you use Community or Live Chat, the content you choose to post there is transmitted to Firebase so it can appear to other users inside REB00T.
6. Third-Party Services
REB00T depends on Apple platform services and may rely on:
- Apple for App Store billing, account management, notifications, and optional iCloud sync
- RevenueCat for subscription entitlement and restore handling
- Firebase for anonymous Community identity, Community posts, and Live Chat messages
These providers may process limited information according to their own privacy practices.
7. Your Controls
Inside the app, you can:
- Export your locally stored recovery data
- Delete your locally stored recovery data and attempt to remove your Community/Live Chat data from Firebase
- Disable optional iCloud sync
- Change notification permissions in iOS Settings
- Manage subscriptions through your Apple account
- Report or block users inside Community and Live Chat
8. Data Retention
Data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app, or choose the in-app delete option. If optional iCloud sync is enabled, synced data may remain in Apple-managed storage until removed there as well. Community and Live Chat content remains in Firebase until you delete it, use the in-app delete flow, or it is removed for moderation reasons.
9. Children
REB00T is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, stop using the app on that device and remove the stored data.
10. Changes To This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The current version will be posted at this page with an updated effective date.
